🎙️ Immersion: Proximity Voice Chat
The headline feature of Update 4 is the long-awaited Proximity Voice Chat. Hypixel Studios has implemented a spatialized audio system that allows players to communicate naturally within the world. Voice volume attenuates based on distance and reacts to environmental factors like cave reverb or muffled sounds underwater.
The HUD now displays a portrait of whoever is speaking, which even mimics their avatar’s appearance and animates as they talk. To keep things safe and friendly, an easy mute option is available directly from the map screen.
Emotes and Character Styles
A new Emote Wheel is now live (Default key: ‘X’), featuring 9 emotes including 5 brand-new animations. Alongside these, 7 new hairstyles—including Afros, Dreads, and Star Puffs—have been added to give your avatar more personality.
🧱 Building: The 500+ Block Update
Builders are getting a massive content drop today. The team added approximately 500 new blocks to complete existing sets. Every natural rock type—Slate, Limestone, Chalk, and Cooled Magma—now features a full range of stairs, slabs, bricks, and beams.
Architecture and Nature
A highly requested feature is finally here: Fences and walls now support T-junctions and four-way junctions! On the nature side, apple trees have been added, and all saplings now have stage-based growth with unique textures.
For those leaning into more modern builds, the Cybercity set (Neons, Arcades, and Modern Metals) is now available in Creative Mode, showcasing the engine’s versatility.
🛠️ Creative Tools & Modding
The Revolve tool is the new star for architects. It allows you to copy a selection and paste it in multiple rotations around a center point—perfect for creating perfect towers or domes in a single click.
Farming and Community Contests
